Case Study

Aventis Systems

About Aventis Systems

Aventis Systems provides new and refurbished servers and computers for small and medium-sized businesses. They came to us looking to modernize and grow their brand's online presence. Custom features and unique functionality would also need to be added to the updated store, and they needed a partner that is experienced with both Volusion and Nextopia search and product filtering.

  • Create a more user-friendly interface and design with improved navigation and filtering
  • Reorganize and expand current resources for enhanced search and browse-ability of content
  • Restructure navigation and reduce click depth
  • Optimize existing functionality and create new features for in-house and external use
The Outcome

A new responsive website that supports Aventis Systems as the premiere United States IT Hardware supplier that caters to small and medium-sized businesses looking for a great price and outstanding service.

Setting The Scene

We began with a Project Blueprint where we established benchmarks, current features and funtionality, and outlined the technical approach, goals and objectives for the project. We then worked to establish three design directions for the new site, and worked with Aventis Systems to determine which stylescape captured their brand best.

Determining the Structure

Once the direction for the new design had been established, the next step was to begin creating wireframes of the core eCommerce pages and internal pages of the site. During this phase, we determine which sections and information will need to be featured on the page, and how it should be laid out. After the wireframes have been approved, we can begin creating mockups.

Visual Mockups

Bringing Design To Life

With the approved stylescape, wireframe, and findings from the Project Blueprint and our Creative Alignment activity, our team begins with the homepage mockup to show how the page will look. Once the homepage has been apprvoed, our team begins addressing the other eCommerce and internal pages on desktop and mobile.

End Result

After the mockups were approved, our team coded the new design within a Volusion sandbox environment. After thorough testing and approval from Aventis Systems, we launched the Volusion store. The end result is a modern, user-friendly store with a reduced click depth and restructured navigation that showcases Aventis Systems' quality products and available services within a custom and engaging solution.
