WIAD Client Showcase: Story As...
WIAD (Website in a Day) is one of our favorite programs because it's the quickest way to help our clients get the foundation they need to get online and start marketing their business.
This client showcase is for a storytelling business that helps senior leadership clarify and refine their story so their target audience knows what makes them special.
Stylescape
Website in a Day starts with our team reviewing the completed onboarding form, as well as any branding guides, images, or content they choose to share with us through our project management system.
Next, we gather our notes and begin creating the stylescape for the website.
The goal of the stylescape is to show how we're envisioning the new website from a design point of view. We take a client's preferred colors, fonts, design assets and images all into account, and present it to make sure we're on the same page.
Wireframes
The next step is creating wireframes of key pages. In addition to laying out content in a way that guides a visitor through the site, we include our recommendations for which links should go where, featured sections, as well as placeholder copy.
We always recommend answering the 5 important questions (what you do, who it's for, why they need it, why trust you, and what to do next) on the homepage of the website. This is because we want a visitor to the website to find what they're looking for and decide to take the next step as quickly as possible.
Both the stylescape and wireframes are shared on the first call, which takes place on a client's selected build day. This gives the client guidance on what content we'll need from them, and lets our team know we're on the right track as we start building.
The End Result: Mobile Friendly Wix Website for Storytelling Business
The end result for this build is a professional, easy-to-navigate Wix website that is optimized for mobile. We're proud of the text slider and overall design of the website, as we feel it nicely captures the look and messaging for the client.
