Wix Website in a Day Client Showcase for fresh, Alaskan seafood business, Little Alaskan Fish Co!
We so enjoyed working with Little Alaskan Co on the design of their Wix Ecommerce store, and were craving some of the delicious looking seafood featured in their photos throughout the build.
The goal of this project was to create a beautiful, user-friendly ecommerce site that showcased their brand and who they are.
Stylescape
The stylescape is created to establish the look and feel of the website. We use this to help identify a color scheme, fonts, images, and graphics for the new design.
We picked Roboto and Raleway as complementary fonts to the logo. These are sans-serif fonts that were developed by Google, and are great because most computers will have them and can load them quickly.
What's great about Google fonts is they are free for commercial use, they're easy to use, there are a lot of choices to choose from, and the fonts themselves are updated.
Since the logo featured a dark background, we wanted to continue this in the stylescape, as well as the design of the website.
Wireframes
The next step is creating wireframes to establish the layout and prioritization of content for the website.
Little Alaskan Fish Co opted for a simple site structure with limited sections per page in the hopes that a visitor will get to know them first and then purchase one of their fresh seafood products.
The End Result: Wix Mobile-Friendly Design
We're really pleased with how this design turned out. From the beautiful colors to the stunning photos, we feel this site showcases what Little Alaskan Fish Co is about, who they are and where they're from.
We love meeting fellow husband and wife teams, and supporting a family owned business!
