Client Showcase for Wynn Funeral Home
Today we're sharing a Wix Website in a Day Client Showcase for Galveston, Texas based business, Wynn Funeral Home!
We wanted this design to be centered around the idea of celebrating life, (rather than traditional, dark theme of many funeral websites).
This design direction was achieved through the messaging, colors selected and featured images.
Stylescape
The goal of the stylescape is to set the tone of the website. We use stylescapes to select a color scheme, images, fonts and graphics for the design to ensure it is cohesive and in line with the client's vision.
We chose Cinzel and Josefin Sans for the fonts. Cinzel is a typeface that was inspired in first century roman inscriptions, and Josefin Sans has a vintage feel to it that we felt would compliment Cinzel well.
The main image of the older couple on the beach paired with the location of the business (Galveston, Texas) inspired us to pick colors that had a beach feel to it.
Wireframes
Once we have the design direction established, we focus on creating wireframes for the site. Wireframes help us to determine the layout for the website.
By taking time to prioritize content and how a visitor will be guided through the site at the beginning of the build, our team can also brainstorm features that will add to the experience.
Rather than only including contact information as a next step, we chose to include a booking option, so visitors can go ahead and schedule a time for a consultation with the funeral home staff.
We also included an option for visitors to send sympathy flowers to a service at the home, and will have a section for obituaries, so loved ones past services can be found with ease.
The End Result: Wix Mobile-Friendly Funeral Home Website Design
The design of the website is cheerful, the website is easy to navigate, and automations have been put in place to make managing the site easy for the Wynn team.
